FOUR OTTERS WILL FACE OFF AGAINST EACH OTHER 2009-2010 SEASON (NCAA)

FOUR OTTERS WILL FACE OFF AGAINST EACH OTHER 2009-2010 SEASON (NCAA)

The Huntsville Otters would like to CONGRATULATE their goalie Ryan WILLIAMS in securing a scholarship with the Plattsburgh State Cardinals in the University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
Ryan had  stellar seasons with the Huntsville Muskoka Otters the past two seasons and received Player of the month award, Goalie of the year award along with previous goalie Jeff Dawson, Allstar team, and MVP of the Otters for the 2008-2009 playoff run to mention a few.
Ryan had two years eligibility left with the Otters but due to his consistence between the pipes numerous teams in the NCAA had their sights on Ryan. Ryan was offered a deal with the Plattsburgh squad which is again one of the top teams in the NCAA D-3.
Ryan had a hard decision to make as he was and always will be a true OTTER , but the offer was too good to refuse, and a credit to his determination and the Otters hockey organization.
The Otters Goalie coach Kevin Magee who picked Ryan out of Rookie try outs 3 years ago as a 15 year old, had mixed emotions about losing Ryan this year, but being a goalie himself realized this was a great offer for Ryan and he should take it.

It will be somewhat of an OTTER REUNION in the SUNYAC next season as Ryan will be called upon to stop Jesse McConney and Jon Whitelaw with the Oswego State Lakers, and last years Otter graduate Jake Yard of the Geneseo Knights. These will be some interesting match ups and an Otters fans delight to watch.
Again congratulations to Ryan and though you will be missed we Thank you for your dedication and contribution to the Otters and we wish you success.
